Darwin Nunez: Liverpool Opts For Swap Deal To Lower Transfer Fee (Full Details)

2022 Champions League finalist and Premier League runners-up Liverpool have opted for a swap deal to sign Benfica forward, Darwin Nunez, MySportDab reports.

The Reds are said to be in discussion with Benfica over the possibility of offloading two players to the Portuguese side.

MySportDab learns that the move by the Merseyside club is aimed at reducing the asking price of the Uruquaya international.

Players revealed to be included in the swap deal are Takumi Minamino as d Kostas Tsimikas.

Sources close to the Portuguese side revealed that the Reds are close to striking a deal with Benfica over Nunez.

The deal to sign Nunez from Liverpool has been estimated to been estimated to the value of €85 million including add-ons.

The 34-year-old South American is said to have caught the fancy of Jurgen Klopp during the Reds’ Champons League clash with Benfica.

Nunez scored two goals against the Reds in a match which ended in a dramatic 3-3 draw.

Meanwhile, Liverpool’s sporting director have made it clear to Bendica that they will not be dragged into a bidding war despite their interest in the player.

MySportDab learns that Bendica had rejected the swap deal and are looking forward to making as much money as possible from the deal.

Nunez have scored 26 goals in 28 league appearances for Benfica this season with 4 assists.

Liverpool are bent on signing the Darwin Nunez as Sadio Mane is set to exit the Anfield club this season.
