Swedish forward and Manchester right-winger Anthony Elanga has handed Erik Ten Hag a tough challenge ahead of United’s next season Premier League campaign, MySportDab reports.

The 20-year-old netted the only goal for the Swedish national team in a 2-1 defeat to Erling Haaland’s Norway.

Haaland a new Manchester city new signing bagged a brace as he led the Norwegian national team to a win with one of the goals being through spot kick.

Meanwhile, Anthony Elanga who scored the only goal of the match was playing in the left hand side of the Swedish attack.

In Manchester United, Elanga always play in the right hand side of the Red Devils’ attack.

In a post match interview Elanga was quoted saying that he is happy at the position his playing for his Swedish national team and would prefer same at Manchester United.

From the match, Elanga was phenomenal for the Swedish side scoring the only goal.

With his desire to play same position for Manchester United, the new coach Erik Ten Hag may be presented with a challenge of fixing Elanga at the left side of United’s attack.

Erik Ten Hag joined Manchester United just weeks ago and is expected to turn the fortunes of the Old Trafford club around.

An overhaul is expected in the team. Meanwhile, top stars Paul Pogba, Juan Mata, Edinson Cavani and Jesse Lingard are said to be on the way out of the club.

It is still unclear whether Erik Ten Hag will switch the Swedish 20-year-old striker to his preferred position – the left hand side of the United attack.

Elanga will now throw the 52-year-old former Ajax manager into confusion as to his choice on who plays at the sides of the United attack.

As at the time of filing this report, Erik Ten Hag is yet to respond to Elanga’s new choice position and role at Manchester United.
