Sevilla have now revealed their decision on signing Anthony Martial for a permanent deal, MySportDab reports.

Club president Jose Castro has said that the club will not activate the option of a permanent transfer for Anthony Martial this summer.

The Frenchman joined the LaLiga club on loan in January after falling out of the first team at Old Trafford.

He played only eight Premier League matches before leaving on loan in January.

However, he has failed to perform in Spain scoring only one goal in 12 matches as he has struggled with injuries.

He failed to win get any recognition from the Sevilla fans.

Now, Sevilla have decided against signing Martial permanently.

The Spanish club do not believe he is worth his £240,000 wages agreed.

Speaking to The Sun, Sevilla President said: ‘Martial will return back to Man United.

‘We spent so much on him but it failed.

‘Also, his injury issues and we won’t buy him on a permanent deal’.

Martial will now return to Old Trafford and try to convince United manager Erik ten Hag that he can help the team next season.

Earlier in his career, Martial was the most expensive teenage-signing in football history.

He joined Manchester United for £36m from AS Monaco.

He scored 23 goals in the 2019-20 season and has won the FA Cup and Europa League.

However, Martial has failed to live up to expectations and Sevilla’s decision not to sign him permanently is bad enough.
