Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has now confirmed that he will leave the club today, MySportDab reports.

The Polish man said that his time at Bayern Munich is ‘over.’

The 33-year-old remains linked with leaving the German champions this summer after eight years at the club.

Reports suggest that Chelsea would try to sign the prolific striker.

However, Lewandowski has now confirmed that he does not want to play for Bayern Munich again.

‘My time at Bayern is over,’ Lewandowski said on international duty with Poland.

‘I can’t see myself playing for this club again.

‘Bayern mean business and I think they won’t keep me, I don’t plan to play for them anymore. A transfer is the way forward. I hope it works out for me.’

Now, Bayern Munich are frustrated at Lewandowski’s statement, and CEO Oliver Kahn has now responded.

‘I don’t understand why Robert is doing this. Public statements like this don’t do anything, he toldSPORT1.

‘Robert became a world class footballer here twice and he should his place at Bayern.’

Lewandowski is not a happy man at Bayern Munich for a long time.

MySportDab understands that he told friends about leaving when Bayern’s sporting director spoke of signing Erling Haaland.

Lewandowski got furious at the idea of being replaced by Haaland.

He has scored 344 goals in 374 games across all competitions for Bayern Munich.

He has won the Bundesliga at Bayern since he joined the club.

Lewandowski’s comments will now put many European clubs on high alert, and they would love to sign one of the world’s top strikers.

Barcelona want to sign the striker, and are currently leading the race to sign him.

But, Lewandowski’s former agent, Maik Barthel, has said that the striker has always wanted to play for Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are also considering a move for Lewandowski due to Romelu Lukaku’s uncertain future.
