Liverpool’s UEFA Champions League, UCL Final loss to Real Madrid has continued generating reactions among football fans and commentators, MySportDab reports.

Two Premier League legends – Rio Ferdinand and Michael Owen, have clashed on who is the best club in Europe after UEFA Champions League Final.

The duo battled each other on the better team between Real Madrid and Liverpool as the two teams demonstrated superb and great tactical prowess on their road to the final.

Although Liverpool lost the final to Real Madrid in high tensed Parc de Prince Stadium, some pundits still contend that the Premier League side was the best team.

The Merseyside Reds lost the match despite a commanding football possession and domination of every aspect of the game.

Former Real Madrid and Liverpool striker Michael Owen contend that Liverpool is the best team in Europe despite the Champions League final loss.

“I am still on the opinion that the best team in Europe now is Liverpool,” he said.

“There is a much to being the best, not just because you win a trophy. The team still to beat is Liverpool.”

Former Manchester United legendary defender Rio Ferdinand was quick to dispute Owen’s position.

According to him, Real Madrid demonstrated pedigree and class by eliminating all the Premier League top three this season, including current Premier League Champions.

Real Madrid managed narrow aggregate victories against Chelsea and Manchester City to reach the finals.

They managed a narrow 1-0 win also against a domineering Liverpool side at Stade De Dennis in France to win their 14th European club trophy.
