A few days after the poor Manchester Derby, Ronaldo returned with a banging hat-trick to help Manchester United secure a 3-2 win.
Ronaldo missed the Manchester Derby after traveling to Portugal.
The 3-2 win against Tottenham kept Manchester United’s hopes of qualifying for the Champions League alive.
Ronaldo’s first goal of the match absolutely stunning and it deserves the award.
He got the ball after a nice pass from Fred and then took two touches to position himself properly for the shot.
He then fired a stunning 25 years shot which could not be stopped by Tottenham Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
That set him on the right track for his first Manchester United hat-trick in 14 years.
His second goal in the match against Tottenham helped Ronaldo set a new world record.
That was the 806th goal of his senior football career, and that made him the all-time leading goalscorer.
Ronaldo will hope to score more goals when Leicester City play against United at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli, Chelsea defender Reece James and Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes were also nominated for the award.
