Late goal from Memphis Depay gave Barcelona a 1-2 win over Elche with Ferran Torres on target, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
Both teams had a fair share amount of opportunities in the first half of the encounter which saw just one goal scored between them.
Barcelona started well giving Xavi Hernandez team so much troubles as they pushed forward with hopes of making something happen which didn’t work out.
Barcelona did well enough to hold their ground as they also did created opportunities to find a way through to make something out of their chances as they moved forward in numbers.
The goal came in the 44th minute of the encounter as Fidel made good use of the opportunity given to him which turned the scoreline 1-0 from a brilliant finish.
The first half ended with Elche taking a 1-0 advantage into the break against Barcelona who were unable to make anything happen for themselves going forward after 45 minutes.
Second Half Report
The second half was a good one for both teams who gave it all their best to make sure it ended well for them, mostly for Barca.
Elche carried on with their advantage going forward as everything was looking good despite the fight back from the visiting side who were pushing more for a leveler.
It wasn’t happening for Barcelona who continued to make different opportunities going forward but nothing seemed to be working out until Ferran Torres scored in the 60th minute to make it 1-1.
More opportunities but no goal with the scoreline staying 1-1 as they approached the final few minutes, but thanks to Memphis Depay penalty goal 84th minute gave the away side the much needed lead.
It finally came to an end with Barcelona coming from behind to take a 1-2 victory against Elche to claim all three points which sees them move further on the table.
