Top Four Free Agents That Could Play In The Premier League

The January transfer window isn’t typically one where the biggest stars in the world move clubs.

That means many of Europe’s elite sides will already be looking towards the summer and targets that could enhance their chances of success.

As is the case with players, signing a talented free agent in the summer could be pivotal when it comes to the odds for Premier League winners next season. But, which stars out of contract this summer could be heading to the most competitive league in the world?

Franck Kessie

Kessie

Franck Kessie is a player that has always been expected to play in the Premier League. The AC Milan ace is unlikely to sign a new deal with the Italian giants, which means a move to England could be on the horizon in the summer.

Many of the top teams in England have already been linked with making a move, with Tottenham Hotspur among those.

In January, Antonio Conte’s side was connected with making a bid for the Milan midfielder but opted to sign Juventus midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur.

Kessie could be the defensive midfielder that United craves, as he has averaged 1.3 tackles and 0.8 interceptions per match in Serie A this term.

The Ivorian has also scored five goals in 13 appearances this term, more than Scott McTominay and Fred combined this season.

Niklas Sule

Niklas Sule

This summer, central defenders could be in high demand, with several high-quality performers running down their current deals.

Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen are both likely to leave Chelsea, and their replacement could come in the form of another free agent.

Bayern Munich revealed last week that they have been unable to agree to terms with 26-year-old Niklas Sule, which means that he will be leaving the Bavarian giants at the end of his current deal.

Sule has played an essential role on the Bayern team since signing in 2017. During his career with the Bundesliga giants, the central defender has won the German top-flight on four occasions, the DFB Pokal twice, and the Champions League.

This term, he has been a regular fixture, playing 25 games in all competitions.

However, Sule has agreed to sign a pre-contract with a Bundesliga club at the end of the season.

Boubacar Kamara

Kamara

Those who follow the latest transfer news would have become very familiar with Boubacar Kamara throughout the January window. He has been linked with moves to both Manchester United and Aston Villa.

However, neither club met the valuation set by Ligue 1 club Marseille, which means it’s now likely that he will run down his deal and move for free at the end of the season.

The defensive midfielder has impressed France this season, scoring one goal in 16 appearances. Kamara wins an average of 1.1 aerial duals per match and has averaged 1.5 tackles and 1.1 interceptions per game.

There is no shortage of potential suitors for the defensive midfielder in the summer, but United is reportedly leading the way to reaching an agreement with the 22-year-old.

Cyle Larin

It isn’t just the big clubs exploring the free agency market in the summer, as the sides towards the bottom of the standings will also look to avoid paying a fee on incoming players.

Cyle Larin is one of the players to watch, who could demand attention based on his performances over the past 12 months.

The striker is the top scorer in Canada’s CONMEBOL World Cup qualification. The 26-year-old scored 89 goals in 44 games for Orlando City before moving to Turkish giants Besiktas in 2018.

During his time in Turkey, he has scored 30 goals in 72 games, but his current deal expires at the end of the season. With Canada looking like a decent bet to reach the World Cup finals in Qatar, Larin’s stock will be high.

He will be looking to remain at the top of his game before the competition gets underway in November, and there is no better place to test himself than the Premier League.

Clubs such as Burnley, Leeds United, and Brighton & Hove Albion likely monitor his situation.

However, so many fans want to know, like NFL odds, the process of signing a free agent across the world, and so much more.
