Cristiano Ronaldo has sent a message to the fans after his hat-trick against Tottenham on Sunday, MySportDab reports.
13 years ago, Ronaldo scored twice against Tottenham at Old Trafford and he has done it again.
Ronaldo’s first hat-trick since his at United is no doubt his best performance this season so far.
The Portuguese superstar scored twice in the first half and then scored the winning goal with 10 minutes left.
It’s a crucial win for Manchester United in the race for a top four finish in the Premier League.
United are now currently in 4th place but Arsenal still have four games to be played.
After the Tottenham match, Ronaldo sent a clear message to Manchester United fans on Instagram.
He wrote: “Very happy to get my first hat-trick since I returned to Old Trafford! Therr is nothing like being back on the pitch and helping the team with everything.
“We’ve proven today that we can beat any team on any given day, as long as we work hard as one. There is absolutely no limit for Manchester United! Let’s go, Devils!.”
Ronaldo enjoyed himself throughout the match, and played with good confidence.
He is no doubt one of the greatest football players of all-time.
According to FIFA, Cristiano Ronaldo also became the leading goalscorer in football history thanks his hat-trick vs Tottenham.
The five-time Ballon d’Or was one goal behind Josef Bican before the match but wasted no time to match that record.
He scored his 805th goal with a beautiful long-range strike 12 minutes into the match.
Ronaldo scored two more and is now the leading goalscorer in the history of football ahead of Messi and Pele on 807.
