Asisat Oshoala is a Nigerian footballer who plays for Barcelona Women’s team in Spain.

She was born on October 9, 1994, in Ikorodu Lagos Nigeria which is her biological state and where she did all her growing.
Asisat Lamina Oshoala grew up with her parents attending her primary school at Air Force Primary School located in Victoria Island, Lagos.
She also went further attending her secondary school at Aunty Ayo International School in Ikoyi.
She is also a mother to a girl, but the identity of the father of her child is still unknown by the world.
Growing up, her parents were not happy with her decision to play football as she always go out playing with boys in her street.
Coming from a Muslim family, she wasn’t given that support playing football which eventually led to her also dropping out of school to fully face her craft.
With time she gained the support of her family who did everything possible to ensure she goes further with her football dreams.
Asisat Oshoala started her career at a very young age in the streets of Lagos playing with boys and is now a player for FC Barcelona.
After graduating from secondary school, she started off playing for FC Robo Queens in Lagos which she was with them until 2013.
She moved to Rivers Angels in 2013 where she established herself as a goal-scoring machine.
In 2014 she was invited to play for Nigeria Under 20 team in Canada which is where it all started for her launching her career to the World.
She finished as top scorer and best player of the tournament having helped his country finish second place behind Germany who beat them.
Oshoala in that tournament scored seven goals which saw her winning the golden boot and finish as the best player.
She quickly was thrown into the senior team after that tournament which she represented Nigeria at the African Women’s Championship in 2014.
She ended the tournament as the second-highest goal scorer and best player despite it being her first time playing.
In 2015, Asisat Oshoala joined the Liverpool Women team in January who was still at the top of England’s top division.
Their manager Matt Beard tagged her as one of the young best players in the world after they secured a move for her to beat other suitors.
She scored her debut goal against Birmingham City on April 1 which was in an encounter that Liverpool won 2-1.
Her time with the Reds didn’t last long as Arsenal came calling after activating her release clause which saw them sign her in 2016.
She went on winning the Women’s FA Cup during her time which she made 11 appearances and scored twice with a couple of injury issues.
In 2017 she signed with Chinese club Dailan in their first season her 12 goals helped them win the League title and Women’s Super Cup where she hit another 4 goals.
She bagged an award for being the highest goal scorer of the season before going on to win the league title the following season.
In 2017, her biggest breakthrough came after earning a loan move to Barcelona where he scored seven goals in seven appearances including in the Champions League final.
The following season her loan deal was made permanent with a two-year contract signed making her a full player with the Spanish club.

During the 2019-20 season, she scored 20 goals in her 19 appearances for Barcelona which was the second-highest for that season as they won the League.
She still plays for them to date and all through her time she has won Champions League, Copa de la Reina, Super Cup amongst others.
Asisat Oshoala has won African best player four times including BBC Women footballer of the year 2015 with so many other personal awards.
