Sevilla defender Jules Kounde has reportedly thrown away chance of joining Barcelona with a preferred move to Chelsea, MySportDab reports.
The France International has been seriously linked with a move elsewhere since the last summer window which failed to happen for him.
Jules Kounde prefer a move to Chelsea and he is doing everything to make sure he gets the switch to English Premier League ahead of the summer window.
The Blues saw their attempt to sign the defender back in summer of 2021 failed on a deadline day due to Sevilla fee which wasn’t what the Premier League side had in mind to pay.
Barcelona also came in for the player looking to make a move happen, but it looks like he turned down the opportunity immediately with him wanting to join the Champions of the World instead.
It was reported that Chelsea are still keen on making the move happen, but they want to wait until the summer window which would see them get the defender for a cheap price.
There is a possibility of them getting a bargain price way lower than Sevilla €80 million request which has seen a move elsewhere blocked due to the asking price from the laliga side.
Jules Kounde has decided to reject Barcelona and join Chelsea, according to reports reaching us from The Express.
The Sevilla defender is being chased by both European giants but has decided a switch to the Premier League suits him better than Camp Nou.
The Blues will be making their move this summer window and hopefully will get him for a cheap price after already agreeing personal terms for a move back in 2021.
Other teams will also be making an attempt to sign the France International who is open to finally leaving Spain for another team ahead of the summer window coming soon.
