Egypt reach the AFCON final after beating host Nation Cameroon 1-3 via penalties after playing a goalless 0-0 scoreline, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The game kicked off with both countries pushing to get control of the first half which wasn’t looking good for them as they couldn’t make anything happen going forward.
Cameroon had a fair amount of dominance against their opponent as they pushed from every angle trying to break them down as the match continued with the visitors pushing with nothing happening.
More opportunities were created as the first half progressed with the Egypt luckily finding a way out of not going down as they were still yet to make any attempt of their own going forward as it carried on.
Nothing changed as the first half progressed and finally came to an end with Cameroon 0-0 which saw them heading inside for the break goalless without anything happening.
Second Half Report
More good display coming from the both teams who were still unable to find a way to get any goal and control of the match which was moving fast with them struggling to make anything happen.
Egypt were poor in getting anything done but managed to make attempts which didn’t cause any problems as their opponent had everything covered up without leaving any space.
It was more of the opportunities coming with nothing hitting the back of the net as they hit the one-hour mark with the scoreline still on 0-0 as Cameroon were pushing more.
Both team defense continued to make sure they push for goal as a late drama saw opportunities coming but none could hit the back of the net.
The match ended with Cameroon 0-0 Egypt as they both headed inside with extra time awaiting them as they couldn’t find a winner after 90 minutes.
Extra Time Report
Hostilities resumed in the extra time which saw both teams playing all through the duration with nothing happening despite the opportunities as it finished still 0-0 goalless.
The penalty shootout ended with Cameroon losing 1-3 to Egypt who made it to the AFCON final setting up a mouth-watering clash against Senegal who beat Burkina Faso.
