Sadio Mane scored as Senegal reach final of the AFCON 2022 beating Burkina Faso 1-3, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
Both Nations kicked off the first half with so much pace going forward as they looked to book their ticket into the next round after making it through from the group stages.
Burkina Faso had so much work to do as in the early minutes of the encounter which saw their opponent dominating things while going forward but couldn’t make it count on many occasions.
Things were looking good for Senegal but they couldn’t make it count with so much opportunities being created by the which couldn’t be placed right as most of them didn’t get close to the post.
It was more boring as the match entered the last few minutes left which no goal was scored despite everything done from both ends to get a goal which proved wasteful.
The first half of the encounter ended with Burkina Faso 0-0 Senegal as they both went inside for the break after a bad 45 minutes of football with nothing happening from both ends.
Second Half Report
The second half started well between both sides as the goals came in flooding under 45 minutes played.
Senegal took the lead in the 70th minute of the second half through Abdou Diallo who made the scoreline 0-1 going forward.
Burkina Faso couldn’t make anything happen as they went down further with a goal coming from Idrissa Gana Gueye in the 76th minute making the scoreline 0-2.
The away side for the encounter pulled one back in the 82nd minute of the match as Ibrahim Blati Toure scored an outstanding goal which saw things turned 1-2 as it progressed.
More opportunities came through until Sadio Mane 87th minute goal saw the scoreline 1-3 with the Liverpool man smashing one past the goalkeeper.
The match ended with Burkina Faso 1-3 Senegal as the home side grabbed victory which saw them moved into the final for AFCON 2022.
