Lautaro Martinez scored the only goal as Argentina beat Colombia 1-0 in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers match, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The game started with both countries unable to get control of the first half which wasn’t looking good for them as all they couldn’t make anything happen.
Argentina had a fair amount of dominance against their opponent as they pushed from every angle trying to break them down as the match continued with the visitors pushing.
More opportunities were created as the first half progressed with the Colombia luckily finding a way out of not going down as they were still yet to make any attempt of their own going forward.
Lautaro Martinez scored in the 29th minute making things 0-1 after an amazing work saw the forward being set up before making sure to make it a goal from a perfect finish for his side.
Nothing changed as the first half progressed and finally came to an end with Argentina 1-0 Colombia which saw them heading inside for the break goalless.
Second Half Report
More good display coming from the home side who were still finding a way to get more goals and control of the match which was moving fast with them taking the advantage already.
Colombia were poor in getting anything done but managed to make attempts which didn’t cause any problems as their opponent had everything covered up without leaving any space.
It was more of the opportunities coming with nothing hitting the back of the net as they hit the one-hour mark with the scoreline still on 1-0 with Argentina dominating things as it progressed forward.
Both team defense continued to make sure they didn’t concede as they pulled off some incredible defending during the game which was looking good for him.
The match ended with Argentina 1-0 Colombia as the home side claimed victory and three points to boost their chances of making the FIFA World Cup for 2022.
