Cristiano Ronaldo Jr has now signed a contract with Manchester United and will also wear the No.7 shirt, MySportDab reports.

The 11-year-old was already playing for the Manchester United academy since Ronaldo returned in the summer.

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr is now following in his father’s footsteps to become a professional footballer.

The announcement came on Thursday as fellow youngster Gabriel also signed a contract with Manchester United.

In an Instagram post, Gabriel wrote: “Delighted to finally sign for Man Utd and even better to do it with my teammate @cristiano JR.”

Ronaldo’s child followed him to England after he left Juventus’ academy last summer.

The last time CR7 played for the Red Devils, CR7 Jr had not even been born.

But, now he has the opportunity to go develop in the Manchester United academy with the help of his father.

In Georgina Rodriguez’s Netflix documentary, Ronaldo spoke about his son’s ability and said: “With time we will know. I won’t pressure him. He will do whatever he wants.

“What I want the most for him is to be happy and be confident enough to choose what they want. I will support him.”

Cristiano Ronaldo is also reluctant to give his son a mobile phone, which many of his age already have.
