Cristiano Ronaldo got angry after being substituted in Manchester United’s match against Brentford, MySportDab reports.

Ralf Rangnick does not care about Ronaldo’s outburst and has said that he would happily take him off again in the future.

Ronaldo was absolutely livid when Harry Maguire replaced him in the 71st minute with United already leading 2-0.

Coach Rangnick made the substitution to switch to a back three in defence to protect the lead.

Ronaldo threw his jacket to the ground obviously frustrated as he sat on the bench and later questioned the decision to withdraw him.

Rangnick got the questions from Ronaldo after he was substituted.

Speaking after the match, Rangnick said: ‘He was asked, “why do you take me off?” Cristiano was unhappy.‘I said “I must take decisions in the best interests of the team.”

‘We had exactly the same thing at Villa park, 2-0 up with 15 minutes left and the match ended in a draw and we wanted to avoid the same mistake.

‘I brought on Maguire to switch to a back five, and Rashford as another fast winger to add pace for counter attacks.

‘I told him that: “I know you’re very ambitious and you want to score but hopefully in some years from now when you’re a coach you will take the same decision and be in the same role.”

Manchester United got lucky thanks to David de Gea for keeping them in the match in the first half.

In the second half, Anthony Elanga, Mason Greenwood and Rashford all scored to earn United the win.

Manchester United are now two points behind West Ham in fourth place.
