Arsenal hold Liverpool to a 0-0 draw in the first leg of the semifinals for the EFL Carabao Cup which saw Xhaka sent off, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

A good start in the first half for both teams who had a fair share of things all through but couldn’t find a breakthrough despite all their efforts on goal.

Arsenal were very good with their defending which helped them so much in a game that saw them taking in too much pressure coming in the early minutes.

Liverpool Arsenal

The match continued with nothing happening despite everything put in for a goal by Liverpool who had many opportunities as they hit the 20th minute mark pushing forward.

Things got bad for the Gunners in the 24th minute which saw Granit Xhaka being sent off after receiving a straight red card leaving them to 10-man against their opponent.

Nothing changed as the London side held firm until the first half of the encounter ended with Liverpool 0-0 Arsenal after a good 45 minutes of football played between both sides.

Second Half Report

The second half was another hard fought one between both teams who carried on without being able to break down themselves going forward with the Reds having a one man advantage.

Arsenal were doing all in their power to ensure nothing went past them in the early minutes of the second half which worked out fine knowing very well that they had one man down in the encounter.

Liverpool still had more of the ball possession working out for them but still couldn’t find a way out of everything as they tried to explore the one man down weakness, but all to no avail.

Nothing was happening with the game as they both approached the final 10 minutes of regular left to be played which was a really hard job for the away side to hold on.

The match came to an end with Liverpool 0-0 Arsenal which sees the Gunners holding off their opponent despite one man down to a goalless draw after 90 minutes.
