Thomas Meunier and Erling Haaland both scored a brace as Borussia Dortmund smashed Freiburg 5-1, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
Too many talking points in the first half of the encounter which saw goals flying in from the home team who had total dominance all through.
Freiburg was holding off well until the 14th minute which saw Thomas Meunier scoring a stunner with assistance from Julian Brandt to make the scoreline 1-0.
Borussia Dortmund didn’t stop there as the defender made it his brace in the 29th minute with another assist from Julian Brandt which made it 2-0 as it progressed.
It was an easy first half which carried on with Erling Haaland making it 3-0 in the 45th minute plus additional time after a good setup from Jude Bellingham to extend the lead.
The first half of the encounter ended with Borussia Dortmund 3-0 Freiburg as they both headed inside for the break after an amazing 45 minutes of football.
Second Half Report
The second half saw both teams hitting the back of the net as the goals kept on coming fast.
Borussia Dortmund continued with their lead intact until the 61st minute which saw Ermedin Demirovic pulling one back for the away side to make the scoreline 3-1.
Freiburg were looking like they could make something happen after that goal, but it wasn’t meant to be as Erling Haaland score his second of the match making it 4-1 as it carried on.
The home side were far from done as they carried on pressing very hard until Mahmoud Dahoud made it 5-1 in 86th minute with assist from Nico Schulz increased things.
The match ended with Borussia Dortmund 5-1 Freiburg as the home side claimed an impressive win and all three points in the bag after 90 minutes of football played.
