Hakim Ziyech and Thiago Silva both scored as Chelsea beat Tottenham 2-0 in the English Premier League, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
There wasn’t too much to talk about in the first half of the encounter which saw just opportunities being created and nothing more happening.
Chelsea started well by controlling play which has been essential for them in their campaign since Thomas Tuchel took over from club legend Frank Lampard.
Tottenham had so much to deal with but it didn’t stop them from also causing troubles that was easily dealt with by the Blues as it progressed forward.
Nothing happened as they carried on hitting the half hour mark and yet nothing to separate them in the encounter which more opportunities kept on coming through from both ends.
The first half of the encounter ended with Chelsea 0-0 Tottenham as they both went inside for the break after 45 minutes ended with nothing to separate them.
Second Half Report
The second half progressed with more opportunities and the Blues pushing forward with their dominance which was clearly seen on the pitch.
Chelsea scored the opening goal in the 47th minute from Hakim Ziyech who curled on beating Hugo Lloris to make the scoreline 1-0 for the Blues as it carried on.
Tottenham failed to hold things tight as Thiago Silva increased the lead to 2-0 in the 55th minute from a beautiful finish which was assisted by Mason Mount that saw them cruising once again.
Opportunities upon opportunities gone begging with nothing coming from Spurs who were looking lost on the pitch allowing the Blues to torment them more going forward in the encounter.
The match came to an end with Chelsea 2-0 Tottenham which gives the Blues three points from another win playing against Spurs after their Carabao cup clash and now another in the Premier League.
