Diogo Jota scored twice as Liverpool beat Arsenal 0-2 to setup Carabao Cup final against Chelsea, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
Just one goal separating both teams in the first half of the encounter which saw so much happening in the Carabao Cup semi-final.
Arsenal started off well against a side they drew goalless in the first leg despite going down by one man which didn’t show up as they managed to finish the game in a draw.
Liverpool scored the opening goal in the 19th minute thanks to Trent Alexander Arnold setting up Diogo Jota who made sure his strike was on target beating the goalkeeper to make it 0-1.
The game continued with both teams pushing to change the scoreline which remained the same as they approached the final few minutes left in the first half.
It ended in the first half with Arsenal 0-1 Liverpool which saw them heading inside for the break with advantage to the Reds who were fantastic all through.
Second Half Report
They kickoff the second half pushing to change things as the advantage was on the visiting side who also made sure they held on.
Arsenal looked better than they were in the first half which saw them doing everything possible to make sure they come back level as the match carried on.
Liverpool were in no hurry to push forward with them already with the lead and the only thing on their mind was to make sure it remain the same until the end.
Diogo Jota scored his brace for the night to make the scoreline 0-2 after another brilliant play from the Portuguese doubled the lead in the 79th minute.
The match ended with Arsenal 0-2 Liverpool as the Reds claimed a win to set up a final date Vs Chelsea after a 0-2 aggregate victory.
