Leeds United are exploring the possibility of taking Ross Barkley on loan from Chelsea, according to claims coming from the Daily Mail.

The England international playmaker spent last season at Aston Villa and remains some way down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.

Although he has been able to show that he can be trusted despite the few playing time he was given by Thomas Tuchel which he did well.

One of his good performance for the season was when he came off the bench to assist Chelsea in getting a late win.

Leeds United are now hoping they could lure him to Ellen Road as they look to add him to their team for a possible loan move which could be permanent.

The only deal Chelsea are interested in is a permanent deal after naming their asking price for the midfielder who they want to sell.

For now Leeds United remain the strongly interested side with the likes of Aston Villa and Burnley not saying anything about their interests.
