BREAKING: NFF Appoints Rohr’s Replacement Ahead Of AFCON 2021

Jose Peseiro, prior to the start of the Africa Cup of Nations, the organization has named a permanent replacement for Gernot Rohr, who was fired.

Peseiro is a Portuguese football manager and former player who played as a forward.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has named Peseiro a classic Portuguese tactician, as the new coach of the Super Eagles.

He went on to coach numerous clubs in his homeland after an inconspicuous career as a player, notably Sporting CP, which he led to a thrilling 2005 UEFA Cup Final, and Porto.

He also spent a lot of time in Arab countries, where he was in command of thae Saudi Arabian national squad.

Despite Peseiro’s appointment interim manager, Eguavoen is still expected to lead the team the team to AFCON.

Rohr who had been in charge of the Nigeria Super Eagles for over three years.

The German remains Nigeria’s longest ever serving manager.
