Mauricio Pochettino is ready to take over the Manchester United job if called upon after the sacking of club legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, MySportDab reports.

Pochettino is ready to leave his current job in France and return to England as the Manchester United Coach.

United placed Michael Carrick in charge on a caretaker basis while they try to appoint an interim coach until the end of the season.

MySportDab understands that Solskjaer’s permanent replacement will only arrive in the summer.

However, According to The Daily Mail, Pochettino is prepared to leave PSG now because he and his family are unhappy.

Pochettino currently lives in a hotel in France while his family remain in London.

The Daily Mail claims that he is also frustrated at dealing with a dressing-room full of big egos like Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

The former Tottenham manager was heavily linked with the United job when Solskjaer was appointed as Jose Mourinho’s replacement in December 2018.

To make things interesting, the 49-year-old will return to England on Tuesday for PSG’s Champions League match against Manchester City.

Although, Manchester United have not yet made any contact with him for now.

Ajax Coach Erik ten Hag is another option for the United job, but he would not be available until the summer.

Leicester Coach Brendan Rodgers, former Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane and Ralf Rangnick, are some of the top contenders for the job.

United sadly ended Solskjaer’s three-year reign on Sunday after a 4-1 defeat at Watford in the Premier League.

The Norwegian lost seven of his last 13 matches across all competitions.

Solskjaer made notable progress at Manchester United over the years but still failed to win a trophy despite spending over £400million on players.

The Red Devils hoped to see an improvement this season after Solskjaer finished second in the Premier League last season and reached the Europa League final.

Despite his exit, Solskjaer’s coaching staff have kept their jobs and Carrick will be in charge for Tuesday’s Champions League match at Villarreal.

It’s likely that the 40-year-old former United player could remain as interim boss if results are good enough for a Champions League spot.
