The Red Devils have been struggling this season under their manager who helped them finished second last season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could be sent packing any moment as the board are already growing tired of the Norwegian.

Brendan Rodgers has been seen as the number target who could be taking over things at Old Trafford.

Red Devils increasingly confident of landing Foxes boss who could be open to making that switch to Old Trafford when approached.

Manchester United have made Leicester Brendan Rodgers their number one target should they decide to sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, according to reports coming from the Sun.

The Red Devils employed a leading agent to scour potential new managers, with the Foxes boss top of a four-man shortlist that also included Antonio Conte, Zinedine Zidane and Erik ten Hag.

Antonio Conte has since joined Tottenham while Zidane and Ten Hag are not currently interested in taking the role at Old Trafford.

Although Manchester United are increasingly confident of luring Rodgers to Old Trafford should they decide to make a change.

This would see them paying Leicester City as their manager is still under contract with them and he can’t move for free.

It is looking like the decision is near with reports confirming that there is no talks going on with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the board who once backed him to continue.

Their last game against Manchester City was horrible as they suffered another defeat at home after a 5-0 thrashing received from Liverpool at Old Trafford.

The decision to sack the Norwegian might have been made but due to the club still looking for a new man, it might be the reason he is still on the job.
