Goal from Hoejbjerg and one own-goal saw Tottenham claimed a 2-1 win against Aston Villa in the Premier League after defeat to Arsenal, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half was good coming from both teams who had so much to offer defending and going forward in attempts to make things happen.
Both sides held their ground against each other in the first 25 minutes of the encounter which no goal was scored except wasted opportunities.
Tottenham broke the deadlock in the 27th minute which saw Hoejbjerg converting from an assist coming through Heung Min Son which made the scoreline 1-0.
The visitors Aston Villa were sharp and better in the game before they conceded the goal which saw them pushing forward more with hopes of getting back into the game.
Nothing could happen for Aston Villa as the first half ended with Tottenham taking the 1-0 advantage while they headed into the break after a good 45 minutes.
Second Half Report
The was more good football coming through with both teams finding the back of the net in the second half which was perfect from start to end.
Aston Villa continued with their push while going forward but nothing could happen for them as the first 10 minutes of the second half passed without the leveler.
The home side Tottenham were looking fantastic in their dealings until Ollie Watkins scored a stunner in the 67th minute which leveled things 1-1 after a good buildup to the goal.
Hostilities carried on with more opportunities being created by the two teams but nothing could result in another goal as it progressed.
Spurs pressured their opponent until Matt Targett scored an own-goal in the 71st minutes which restored the home side lead 2-1 after another powerful attacking play lead to the error.
The match ended with Tottenham taking a narrow 2-1 win against Aston Villa to bounce back from their defeat against Arsenal in the Premier League.
