Cristiano Ronaldo scored once again as Portugal beat Qatar 3-0 in their International friendly encounter, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
Just one goal was scored in the first half of the encounter which saw the Portuguese doing everything needed to get the job done.
The early stages of the 45 minutes were evenly matched and balanced coming from both Nations who had so much to do going forward.
It took Portugal 37 minutes of the game to get the opening goal which came through Cristiano Ronaldo who made the scoreline 1-0 from a stunning finish.
Qatar was good enough but just couldn’t get a chance to score a goal which could have given them some hope in the first half.
Things carried on without another goal as the first half ended with Portugal taking a good 1-0 lead as they headed for the break against Qatar.
Second Half Report
The second half was good coming from the away side in the match but they weren’t able to hold off the Portuguese from getting the goals.
Qatar concede another goal immediately in the 48th minute of the second half which saw Jose Fonte smashing one past the goalkeeper to make it 2-0.
Portugal remained dominant against their opponent despite them taking a good lead going forward with so much time left to play for.
It was looking more like a one-sided affair which as the pressure was all on the away side for the match as they couldn’t find a way back into the game.
Andre Silva increased the lead after scoring a late goal which came in the 90th minute from a lovely piece of play that saw the scoreline turned 3-0.
The match ended with Portugal 3-0 Qatar as the World Cup host Nation for next year couldn’t make anything happen once again against the Portuguese.
