The decision for the Belgian to leave the club wasn’t just about them needing money due to their financial struggles as earlier suggested.

According to Romelu Lukaku, he wanted the move back to Chelsea so bad he had to meet with the club and asked for him to leave.

Here Is What He Said;

“When Chelsea made their third offer, I knew it was serious and I was no longer with my head in Milan.

“Chelsea offered €110 million plus Zappacosta, but Inter said no. So I told Inzaghi: Inter pulled me out of shit but I wanna leave only because of Chelsea.

The move was another shocking summer switch which many didn’t see coming as Chelsea main target was Erling Haaland who they were willing to pay anything.

Borussia Dortmund refused to listen to their offer despite it exceeding over €130 million for the Norwegian.

The Blues had to make last minutes move to open negotiations with Inter Milan which their first offer was turned down immediately.

After talks for some days between the two clubs, an agreement was reached for €115 million which saw the move being made.

Romelu Lukaku had to be rushed into making his debuts against Arsenal were he scored the opening goal after bullying past the Gunners defense.

All clubs are currently on International break and they will be making a comeback soon which will see Chelsea play Aston Villa in the Premier League.
