One goal each for both teams who made sure they got things working out for them despite how closely matched the 45 minutes was.

Tottenham took an early in the 11th after Lucas Moura ball was wrongfully put inside the net by Loic Bade who conceded the own-goal to give Spurs a 0-1 lead.

The game progressed with the home side pushing back until finally they pulled back level 1-1 in the 23rd minute through a finish coming from Flavien Tait for Rennes.

It was looking closely matched as both teams did well enough to keep out the attackers from scoring as opportunities were created going forward.

Second Half Report

The second half started out good for both teams who looked good going forward as they created so much opportunities which they also scored.

It was Rennes looking good despite the ball possession not favoring them, but the opportunities kept coming for them as they had more shots.

Tottenham were good in dealing with the pressure until the 72nd minute when they went down 2-1 with goal coming from Gaetan Laborde who scored to give the home side the lead.

It was fast looking like a lost game for Premier League side who already took off their front 3 before a 76th minute goal was scored by Hoejbjerg to make things 2-2.

Nothing could separate them until the referee ended the match with Rennes 2-2 Tottenham as both teams had to settled for a draw result which sees them taking one point each.
