A brace and one assist for Manchester United Jesse Lingard as England thrashed Andorra 4-0 in their FIFA World Cup qualification match, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
Just one goal scored as the first half showed some good display of football coming from the home side who had all the support needed at Wembley Stadium.
Andorra held on in the early stages until Jesse Lingard scored the opening goal in the 18th minute to give his country a 1-0 lead after reacting first to a loosed ball to convert nearly for the goal.
The game was all about England showing dominance going forward as their defending was perfectly done without anything going past them as it carried on.
Nothing else coming except some misplaced opportunities which started out nicely but when it came to them making it count, it ended up being wasted by mostly the three lions.
The first half finished with England taking a 1-0 slim advantage over into the break against Andorra who show quality by not conceding too many in the 45 minutes.
Second Half Report
An amazing second half encounter which was all to play for by the three lions who fielded their second team who haven’t been playing much for the nation.
England continued to press as the game was all about favoring them with so much quality in the team which saw opportunities created but no goal to increase the lead.
Substitutions were made by Gareth Southgate which led to more pressure before Harry Kane doubled the lead from the penalty spot to 2-0 against Andorra in the 72nd minute of the game.
It was already done and dusted the pressure too much for the visiting side to contain as Jesse Lingard grabbed his brace in the 78th minute to make it 3-0 after another superb finishing.
Then, the Manchester United winger teamed up with Bukayo Saka who scored another goal in the 85th minute of the encounter which made things 4-0.
It finally came to an end with England 4-0 Andorra as the three lions proved why they are being called one of the best footballing nation in the world by claiming a huge win.
