First Half Report

Just one goal was scored in the first half of the encounter which was entertaining for the Gunners who had total control of their opponent.

Wimbledon was perfect in the early minutes of the game which saw them doing a good job in defending as the pressure was more on their defense.

Arsenal opened the goal scoring in the 11th minute as Alexander Lacazette converted from the penalty so to give the Gunners a 1-0 lead.

Things were evenly balanced after the goal as the encounter carried on without anything coming except wasted opportunities from both teams.

The first half of the encounter ended with Arsenal 1-0 Wimbledon as they both headed in for the break after a good 45 minutes for the Gunners.

Second Half Report

The second half was more better coming from the home side who made sure they got the job done with ease despite the strong push back from their opponent.

Arsenal carried on dominating things as they push for more goals which proved difficult in the first few minutes of play in the second half.

Wimbledon did everything possible to hold off their opponent who were better until the 77th minute when Emile Smith Rowe scored to make it 2-0.

The game progressed with so much coming from the Gunners as their Premier League status was giving them the edge just like the scoreline.

Edward Nketiah finally killed off the game as he scored another goal in the 80th minute which saw the scoreline turned 3-0 with an outstanding finish.

The game finally came to an end with Arsenal claiming a 3-0 victory against Wimbledon who gave it all their best but the Gunners advance to the next round.
