Lionel Messi has now trained for the first time at his new club Paris Saint-Germain, MySportDab reports.
Messi also met new the team-mate Kylian Mbappe before his training session.
Mbappe ace shared a photo of him and Messi on his Instagram account, and wrote: ‘Welcome to Paris, Leo.’
Lionel Messi completed his first training session at PSG’s Camp des Loges training complex today.
In a video shared on social media, Messi was seen running down the pitch and completing some drills.
Despite only joining PSG on Wednesday, Messi is eager to play this weekend.
His return from holiday ensured he only did some simple works at training today.
Speaking at his PSG Unveiling, Messi said: ‘I’ve not played for around month and I need to be physically ready again. I hope to be fit enough as soon as possible, I can’t wait.’
According to Spanish Newspaper Marca, Messi was determined to start work immediately in France and make a good impression.
He arrived at PSG’s training facility almost two hours earlier than expected at 9.15am for his training session.
MySportDab understands that Messi also wants to be included in PSG’s squad for their league match this weekend against Strasbourg.
Messi is determined to start games as soon as possible at PSG.
However, Messi must now wait for PSG’s Ligue 1 match against Reims on August 29 to make his debut in the French Ligue 1.
His expectations are high at PSG and wants to help PSG win the Champions League in the 2021-22 season.
