A brace from Ilkay Gundogan alongside one each from Riyad Mahrez and youngster Samuel Edozie ensure Man City beat Blackpool 4-1 in preseason, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first wasn’t that bad for both sides who had something good coming out of it despite it being played by one team dominating the 45 minutes.
It took Man City 3 minutes to open the goal scoring as Samuel Edozie smashed one home to give his side a 1-0 lead after an amazing play which saw them getting the advantage.
Blackpool continues to push for the equalizer as the match carried on with their opponent dominating everything going on in the first 45 minutes.
The lower League side finally scored the equalizer as Luke Garbutt converted from the penalty spot in the 21st minute which made the scoreline 1-1 after the Citizens committed a foul.
The first half carried on without anything else coming as it ended with Man City 1-1 Blackpool as they both headed for the break with both sides getting one goal each.
Second Half Report
The second half was more entertaining as the Premier League Champions showed what they are made off by ensuring everything going their way.
Blackpool were good in making sure things remain the same as the second half pressure began to pour in from their opponent who were very good.
Man City took the lead again in the 48th minute as Riyad Mahrez converted neatly to give his side a 2-1 lead which was well deserved after the pressure they put on their opponent.
Ilkay Gundogan extended the lead to 3-1 in the 58th minute of the encounter after an amazing display saw the German ensuring things got out of the hands of the lower League side.
Another goal came once again in the 74th minute still from the German midfielder Ilkay Gundogan who made it his brace and a 4-1 lead for his side.
The match ended with Man City 4-1 Blackpool as the Citizens claimed a comfortable win against their opponent in their preseason match.
