Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud has now landed safely in Italy to complete his AC Milan transfer, MySportDab reports.
Giroud will now join Serie A giants AC Milan from Chelsea for £1m.
The 33-year-old arrived at the Linate airport in Milan on Thursday afternoon.
Giroud also wore a mask with the AC Milan badge on it, and waved to the cameras around.
The Frenchman will undergo his medical today at AC Milan’s training base.
After the medical, he will sign a two-year contract worth £3m per season.
Reports in Italy suggest that AC Milan have an option to extend his contract by another year.
The Italian club have been monitoring Giroud’s situation at Chelsea for some time.
Earlier this week, AC Milan technical director Paulo Maldini confirmed they were in talks to sign Giroud.
Maldini described Giroud as a ‘champion’.
Giroud spent three years at Chelsea, scoring 39 goals in 199 matches for the London club.
His transfer to Italy is the first time Giroud will play football outside of England since 2012.
Giroud spent six years at Arsenal before his transfer to London rivals Chelsea.
He is not expected to join his new Milan team-mates for Pre-season training until July 26 after his role at Euro 2020.
So, Giroud will miss AC Milan’s first pre-season friendly match against Pro Sesto.
