Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane has again rejected a new contract offer from the club, MySportDab reports.

Varane wants to leave Real Madrid and his representatives will try to start negotiations with Manchester United next week.

The Frenchman rejected Real Madrid’s two-year contract extension offer as he has only 12 months left on his current deal.

After 10 years of football in Spain, Varane wants to leave the La Liga club.

Manchester United are one of the main clubs interested in signing the 28-year-old this summer.

According to The Mirror, Varane’s agents will try to start negotiating with United next week.

The Red Devils have plans to strenghthen their defence this summer.

Varane is currently playing for France at Euro 2020.

He is unhappy that Real chose to prioritise a new contract for Luka Modric, Lucas Vazquez and Sergio Ramos ahead of him.

Ramos has now left Real Madrid after rejecting a one-year contract with a pay-cut.

MySportDab understands that Manchester United will not try to sign Ramos because of his age.

Real have already signed defender David Alaba on a free transfer earlier this summer.

Los Blancos feel they have players in defence to allow Varane to leave for the right fee but they want £50m.

Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in Varane but they have not initiated talks with his representatives.
