Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has now returned to training for the first time for England, MySportDab reports.

Coach Gareth Southgate is unlikely to start Harry Maguire for Sunday’s Euro 2020 first match against Croatia despite his to full training.

Maguire will now mis the opening match and next week’s match against Scotland on Friday.

Maguire is likely to play for England as a substitute in their final group match against the Czech Republic 11 days from now.

The Manchester United Captain has not played since May 9 due to his injury.

He took a huge step in his recovery by training with his fellow England teammates on Thursday.

But he can’t be risked for the match against Croatia and there are concerns that he could play for England against Scotland.

England players remain unaware about how Coach Gareth Southgate wants to name his Starting XI for Sunday’s match against Croatia.

England are likely to experiment in training with a back three, and Manchester United full back Luke Shaw could play as part of the three-man central defence.

However, Southgate has switched between playing three at the back and a four-man defence at St George’s Park over the past two days.

But with the final training session today (Friday) before the match against Croatia, Southgate’s plans will become more clear.

Bukayo Saka is not expected to start on Sunday for England, despite scoring his first goal in the win against Austria for his country.

Saka said: ‘It will be hard to pick the starting XI given the quality we have in this team.

‘I don’t know what anything about the starting team for the first, second and third game. But I am ready to take my opportunity once given to me with a good performance.’
