Manchester United last summer signing Donny van de Beek will now hold talks with Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer about his role for next season, MySportDab reports.

The 24-year-old had a difficult first season at Old Trafford since his £40m transfer from Ajax.

He only started four times in the Premier League last season.

The Holland International was also an unused substitute in the Europa League Final against Villarreal.

Now, According to The Telegraph, Van De Beek wants to hold talks with the United Coach about his role next season.

Van De Beek is currently on international duty with the Holland National team ahead of this summer’s Euro 2020.

Last year, Van De Beek said: ‘I’m a patient person, but i want to play as much as possible.

‘I also think in the minutes that I have been given, made, I have shown what i can add to the team.’

In 36 matches across all competitions last season, Van De Beek scored only one goal and provided two assists.

The fact he was not brought on in the Europa League Final is a concern for the former Ajax player.

Van De Beek was United’s big signing last summer but he did not get enough playing time in the Premier League.
