Manchester City and United are now ready to offer Tottenham Striker Harry Kane a massive contract in wages, MySportDab reports.

On Tuesday, Harry Kane told his boyhood club Tottenham that he wants to leave this summer.

Manchester clubs United and City have both emerged as favourites to sign the England striker.

According to The Sun, both Manchester clubs are ready to offer Kane a massive contract to persuade the 27-year-old to leave Tottenham.

City and United are ready to offer Kane £300,000 a week in wages on a five-year contract, which is better than his current contract at Tottenham.

Despite the financial effects of the coronavirus pandemic, both Manchester clubs are willing to pay the fee and wages to make Tottenham sell Kane this summer.

Kane would cost any club around £150m for his transfer fee and there is still three years left on his contract at Tottenham.

At Manchester City, Sergio Aguero is leaving in the summer after a long legendary stay at the Etihad.

Gabriel Jesus has not impressed this season to become the main man in attack, so Manchester City want to bring in a new striker.

Speaking after Tuesday’s defeat to Brighton about Kane, Pep Guardiola said: ‘Move to the next question. He is a Tottenham player.’

Manchester United Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: ‘I can’t say we won’t sign a striker.

‘We want to build a better squad. Hopefully we have a stronger squad for the start of next season and be more consistent to challenge for the title.’

He added: ‘I can’t comment about any club’s players or what is in the new. This is the respect that Tottenham deserves.’

Tottenham Players are concerned by Kane’s desire to leave the club, and teammate Son Heung-min is seriously affected by the situation.
