Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland bagged a brace each as Borussia Dortmund beat RB Leipzig 1-4 to win the German DFB cup, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half of the encounter was very entertaining with goals coming from the away side in the encounter.
Borussia Dortmund was the better side with kick-off as they pressed hard until the opener which came in the 5th minutes from Jadon Sancho to make it 0-1.
RB Leipzig did create some good opportunities for themselves but failed to make good use of it as Erling Haaland scored in the 28th minute to make it 0-2.
The game carried on with the visitors for the encounter making life hard for their opponent until Jadon Sancho bagged his brace in the 45+ minutes to make it 0-3.
The first half of the encounter ended with RB Leipzig 0-3 Borussia Dortmund as they both headed for the break with an advantage over to BVB.
Second Half Report
The second half of the encounter wasn’t that much fun as it was during the first 45 minutes in which three goals were recorded.
RB Leipzig had things under control as they hold off their opponent from scoring more goals while they push to make things happen.
Borussia Dortmund was okay with how the scoreline was as they continued to kill off time hoping not to concede or give their opponent any chance.
Daniel Olmo was able to pull one back in the 71st minutes as they created an opening which saw Nkunku creating the assist to make it 1-3.
Erling Haaland made sure he also grabbed his brace in the 88th minute of the game after teaming up with Jadon Sancho to make it 1-4.
The match ended with RB Leipzig 1-4 Borussia Dortmund, as BVB claimed the German DFB Pokal trophy with an emphatic victory.
