Manchester United Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has now sent a very clear warning to the owners The Glazers, MySportDab reports.

Solskjaer has also congratulated Manchester City on winning the Premier League title and revealed he needs new players this summer to compete next season.

The 2-1 loss against Leicester City was Manchester United’s first league defeat in 15 matches at home.

Now, Solskjaer wants to close the gap on his Manchester neighbours with new players this summer.

‘If the plan is to challenge for the title with them, then we need to strengthen our squad,’ said Solskjaer.

‘Congratulations to City. They’ve had an exciting season but I’m very pleased with my teams performance this season.

‘We are eager to reach the next step and we need a couple more players to strengthen the squad for that to happen.’

A few days ago, Edinson Cavani signed a one-year contract.

Now, United want to bring back goalkeeper Tom Heaton back from Aston Villa on a free transfer at the end of the season which could mean the end for David De Gea.

For the Leicester match, Solskjaer made 10 changes for United’s team game ahead of Thursday’s match against Liverpool.

However, Solskjaer defended his decision to give after Amad Diallo and Anthony Elanga their Premier League debuts against Leicester City.

‘It must not get to this again,’ he added.

‘The fixture schedule makes it impossible and that’s why we made the changes.

‘It’s unrealistic. It is unreasonable to expect players to perform at the best level on Thursday, Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday.’

Manchester United conceded the last goal vs Leicester City after Cavani and Marcus Rashford came on for Diallo and Elanga in the 66th minute.

At the end, Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed that Harry Maguire has a difficult race against time to play in the Europa League final against Villarreal.

Maguire was on crutches at Old Trafford for the Leicester game and Solskjaer said: ‘He’s done the scans and there is no fracture so that is good news.

‘He suffered some ligament damage but hopefully he can play for us again this season. Hopefully, he’ll be fit for the final.’
