“They Need Him” – Joe Cole Talks Haaland Move To Chelsea

0 comments

Former Blues winger Joe Cole have advised Chelsea to do everything possible to land Erling Haaland during the summer transfer window, MySportDab reports.

Chelsea must go all out to sign Borussia Dortmund sensation Erling Haaland in order to solve their goalscoring problems.

The Blues boast one of the best defensive records in the Premier League since Thomas Tuchel’s arrival in January.

Although their struggle in front of goal has been increasingly become a huge problem for the team.

Yesterday, Tuchel’s side laboured to a 0-0 draw with Leeds United at Elland Road and their attacking struggles were evident for all to see.

Kai Havertz played a false 9 which failed to work out for the team despite the same plan working out against Everton.

Erling Haaland has developed into a prolific striker since joining the Dortmund in January 2020 which he has scored 47 goals in 47 appearances.

His recent goal was a brace against Sevilla in the UEFA Champions League as his side progressed to the next round.

He also puts himself into the record books by becoming the quickest player to reach 20 goals in the competition which took him just 14 games to reach that feat.

The former player insisted that in order for his old side to truly challenge for titles they need to sign a player in the idea of the blossoming striker.

What Joe Cole Said;

“They need one player for me, Haaland. He’s on the wish-list.” Cole told BT Sport.

Erling Haaland

‘He’s a No.9. There’s so much in this squad, there’s quality in all areas, such a strong squad.

“You just need that one sparkle of magic, that No.9, that focal point and it will change this club getting back to the glory days of challenging for the title regularly.”
