Manchester United Goalkeeper David de Gea and his girlfriend have now welcomed their first child named Yanay on Thursday, MySportDab reports.

United have told him to take his time in Spain and be with his family.

On Thursday, De Gea travelled back to his country Spain to be with his wife Edurne for their child birth.

De Gea is ready to return back to Old Trafford now but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants the 30-year-old to spend some time with his family and return after the international break.

Today, De Gea announced the birth of his first child, a baby girl via social media on Friday, 48 hours before United’s Match against Manchester City on Sunday.

Dean Henderson is expected for the Red Devils at the Etihad Stadium game and will have six games to prove his quality in goal.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference for the Manchester City match, Solskjaer said: ‘I’m happy for David. Of course becoming a dad is probably one of the best possible feeling ever. Those who experience such know what David feels now.

‘I’ll give him some time before before he comes back. He has to go home and be with his lovely family.

‘Now, due to the pandemic and quarantines it’s a different world, but still we felt that David wanted to go and allowed him to go and support his girlfriend.

‘Dean played and impressed, am confident that he’s ready, so I’ll give David some time of course.’

Henderson kept a clean sheet in United’s draw at Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.

The young Goalkeeper will remain and in goal for the Manchester Derby On Sunday and next week’s match against West Ham.

The 23-year-old will play in both Europa League last-16 matches against AC Milan, and the crucial FA Cup quarter-final at Leicester City.

De Gea’s position as No 1 has been questioned by fans this season after some unnecessary errors in matches.

The Spaniard was at fault for Everton goals in the match in February, which marked his eighth and ninth errors leading to a goal in the Premier League since the start of the 2016-17 season.

Henderson has kept eight clean sheets in 13 matches across several competitions for Manchester United this season.
