Former Wolverhampton Wanderers player Diogo Jota scored as Liverpool beat Wolves 1-0 at home in the Premier League, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half of the encounter was a good 45 minutes which lots of opportunities were created and missed while one goal was scored.
Wolves had things under control in the early stages as they pose some dangerous attacks which were easily dealt with by their opponent.
Liverpool pressed hard until the last few minutes when they had a good chance which was converted by Diogo Jota to make it 1-0 after an assist coming from Sadio Mane in the 47th minute.
The first half of the encounter ended with Wolves 0-1 Liverpool as they both headed for the break with an advantage over the Reds.
Second Half Report
The second half wasn’t that bad either as both teams continued where they left off in the first 45 minutes of the encounter.
Liverpool had some good opportunities of increasing their lead after few attacks going forward with just minutes gone in the second half, but they couldn’t make it count.
Wolves continued to defend well as they managed to also throw some little attacks which couldn’t materialize into a goal for them.
The match ended with Wolves 0-1 Liverpool as The Reds grab a valuable win which gives them hopes of a top four finish which is far from them at the moment.
