Mason Mount scored as Chelsea beat Liverpool at Anfield 1-0 with Timo Werner goal being ruled out for offside by VAR, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
It was a very entertaining first half encounter between the two sides who created chances but it was all about the Blues who dominated play.
Liverpool was caught napping as a through ball saw thrown in to Timo Werner who beat Alisson Becker neatly to score but it was later ruled out for offside.
Chelsea finally got the goal which stands after NGolo Kante delivered an amazing pass which Mason Mount control and smashed in to make it 1-0 in the 42nd minute.
The first half of the encounter finally ended with Liverpool 0-1 Chelsea as they both headed for the 45 minutes break with advantage going to the away side.
Second Half Report
It was another hard fought second half of the game which in the early stages we saw the Blues pulling all the strings.
Chelsea was the better side when it comes to chances created on goal as they had more shot off and on target.
Liverpool soon gained control of the encounter and started to press harder while the away side kept soaking in all the pressure.
It progressed with Jurgen Klopp’s side still unable to make anything happen as the ball possession continued to favor the home side.
The referee signaled for full time as the match ended with Liverpool 0-1 Chelsea as the Blues claimed a crucial win which pushed them to fourth on the table.
