Manchester United Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has ruled out a possible title challenge for his team this season after a poor 3-3 draw against Everton at Old Trafford, MySportDab reports.

“We can’t even be regarded as title chasers, we are now better as a team and see how it ends up. We have to stop conceding poor goals,” he said.

Manchester United United secured a two-goal lead in the first half thanks to Edinson Cavani and Bruno Fernandes.

But Everton started the second half with full force and equalised within seven minutes.

Abdoulaye Doucoure and James Rodriguez both scored to make it 2-2 early on in the second half.

Later, Scott McTominay thought he had won the match for Manchester United after scoring with his head to make it 3-2.

However, deep into extra time Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored to make it 3-3 to the frustration of Manchester United fans.

With the draw, Manchester United have failed to take the chance to move level with City at the top.

It now allows Liverpool to close the gap when they face Pep Guardiola’s team on Sunday.

“We played delightful football in the second half but sadly conceded three poor goals from three shots on target,” Solskjaer added.

“It is disappointing when you actually do that.

“We responded very well after their two quick goals but then there was four minutes added in, we had to keep the ball in the corner and close out the match.

“I can’t blame anyone for the goals but we know we must do better as a team.

“James and Richarlison gave us some problems before half-time but i don’t think we deserved the 2-0 lead at half-time.

“Our attack caused them serious problems and played very well, that isn’t the problem but it is a 3-3 draw.

“Results create everything, the last kick of the ball was poor and we are really disappointed, we have lost two key points.”
