Chelsea academy graduate Billy Gilmour has asked to be sent out on loan following Frank Lampard sacking as he wants more playing time, MySportDab reports.

The youngster was set to remain with the Blues some few days ago but has changed his decision with a new manager being appointed two days ago.

Billy Gilmour is hoping Chelsea can send him out on loan as he looks to establish himself as a regular player which will be of help to his growing career.

Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour is hoping to be sent out on loan before the end of the January transfer window, according to reports from the Daily Mail.

The young Scot is eager for consistent playing time ahead of the Euros and it has been suggested teams in the top half of the Championship could move to secure his services.

Rangers previously showed interest in him before the deal was blocked but it feels like the move might happen soon with the player ready to make the move.

The teenager was one of the breakthrough players which came under the ranks of Frank Lampard during Chelsea transfer ban that also saw players like Mason Mount and others making their way to the first team.
