Red Devils target Sevilla star who seems to be one of the most important players for the Spanish side so far this season.
Sevilla defender Jules Kounde is the subject of interest from Manchester United, according to reports from Mundo Deportivo.
Manchester City failed with a €55 million (£49m/$68m) bid for the 22-year-old in the summer.
Now the Red Devils are hoping to succeed where their rivals failed in January 2021 transfer window which is set to open.
Sevilla have no desire to sell Kounde though, and will likely only listen to offers within the region of €80 million (£72m/$98m) when the transfer market reopens.
Manchester United might not be able to complete this deal with the club also eyeing another big money move for Jadon Sancho this year.
