Liverpool are now likely to offer Mohamed Salah a new contract end talks of a possible Barcelona or Real Madrid transfer, MySportDab reports.

In a recent interview, Mohamed Salah refused to rule out a move to the Spanish La Liga in the near future.

The Egyptian has been Liverpool’s best signing ever since his 2017 transfer from AS Roma in 2017 and has scored 110 goals, provided 45 assists in 173 matches.

He has scored 16 goals across all competitions this season in 21 matches, 13 of them in the Premier League.

Salah remains under contract with the English champions until 2023, and earns £200,000-a-week which makes him the Liverpool’s highest paid player.

However, According to Goal.com, Liverpool are more likely to offer him a new contract extension, instead of selling him.

Salah will become 29 years old in June, but his performances mean Liverpool will to offer him a new deal, including a massive pay rise.

No Liverpool player has ever been paid more than Salah’s current wages but he has repaid his salary with his fantastic contributions at Anfield.

MySportDab understands that Mohamed Salah is being monitored closely by Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

A move to Barcelona for is far more unlikely due to the club’s endless financial issues caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

PSG remain a more suitable and financially stable club to pay any amount Liverpool demand for Mohamed Salah.

Real Madrid are more interested in signing the next world best player in Kylian Mbappe, but they could sign Salah if that deal falls next summer.

The Egyptian could still reject the new contract offer from Liverpool for a fresh challenge in another league.

He also said that he was “unhappy” after being avoided as captain against FC Midtjylland in the Champions League.

Liverpool Coach Jurgen Klopp responded and said: “There’s nothing to say. All fine from here.”
