Goals from Gareth Bale alongside Ben Davies and Harry Kane ensured Tottenham book their ticket to the next round of the EFL Carabao Cup with a 3-1 win against Stoke City, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half was closely matched as the Championship side gave Spurs a run for their money as they managed to score just one goal.
It took Gareth Bale just 22 minutes to give Tottenham the a 1-0 lead after converted following a nice build up play which saw Harry Winks providing the assist.
Stoke City had some good opportunities to savage something out of the first 45 minutes but their finishing wasn’t good enough.
The first half ended Stoke City 0-1 Tottenham as they both headed for the break with advantage Spurs.
Second Half Report
The second half provided much action as both sides found the back of the net with Spurs getting more goals.
Jordan Thompson leveled things 1-1 for Stoke City after scoring in the 53rd minute from a clever finish which didn’t take long for the away side to take the lead once again with goal from Ben Davies in the 70th minute.
Harry Kane made it 3-1 in the 80th minute as Tottenham continued to dominate the encounter between the two sides.
The match ended with Tottenham advancing to the next round of the EFL Carabao Cup with a 3-1 victory against Stoke City.
