Everton’s home match against Manchester City has now been officially postponed due to a COVID-19 outbreak, MySportDab reports.

The outbreak is from Manchester City Coach Pep Guardiola’s squad.

On December 25th, The visitors confirmed that both Kyle Walker and Gabriel Jesus tested positive for the virus and would start their isolation.

Now, five players from the Manchester City camp have now tested positive ahead of tonight’s match against Everton.

The Premier League decided immediately to call off the match for safety reasons.

The match between Everton and Manchester City was scheduled to take at Goodison Park on Monday.

The game was set to start at 8:00pm today but it is now postponed until further notice.

It was a key game between two clubs fighting to stay high on the Premier League table, with Everton currently 2nd behind Liverpool.

A win for Manchester City in the Everton match would have helped them move further up on the Premier league table.
