Timo Werner scored twice from the penalty spot as Chelsea recorded a 3-0 win over Rennes with Tammy Abraham also on target, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first 45 minutes was filled with drama as two penalties were given and a sending off for the away side.
Chelsea took the lead with just 10 minutes gone as Timo Werner scored from the penalty spot to give the Blues a 1-0 lead.
The game progressed with Rennes making some clear chances but Edouard Mendy was good enough to save them.
Dalbert was shown a second yellow after conceding a penalty that Timo Werner stepped out and convert to make it 2-0.
The first half ended Chelsea 2-0 Rennes as Frank Lampard’s side took the advantage into the break.
Second Half Report
The second 45 minutes was more of the same as the home side continued to press and dominate the game.
Tammy Abraham made it 3-0 for Chelsea in the 50th after he was setup by Reece James as Frank Lampard side were unstoppable.
Rennes tested Edouard Mendy and thanks to his great ability he was able to pull off some stunning saves for the Blues.
The game progressed with no goal as it ended Chelsea 3-0 Rennes which Frank Lampard side maintained their winning streak.
